On your devices and in your private iCloud database.
Privacy policy
Your receipt data
stays yours.
Receipt Manager is designed for private, practical record keeping. We do not sell your information, track you across apps or websites, or use your receipt data for advertising.
Effective 25 September 2026
No ads, behavioural profiles, sale of data or third-party analytics.
Report data leaves the app only when you choose to send or export it.
01
Scope
This policy explains how Receipt Manager for iPhone and Receipt Manager for Mac handle information. It also explains the limited technical information involved when you visit this website.
02
Data the app stores
The app stores information you enter, import or create, including:
- receipt images and text recognised from those images;
- vendor, purchase date, total, tax, mileage and reimbursement details;
- receipt and reporting currencies, exchange-rate source and converted amounts;
- client, project, expense-type and note information;
- report preferences, including recipient details you choose to save; and
- report history and PDF copies for reports recorded as successfully sent.
This information is used only to provide the app’s receipt-management, sync and reporting features. Receipt Manager does not operate a developer-controlled user account or database.
03
Private iCloud sync
Receipt Manager uses Apple CloudKit to store app records in your private iCloud database and synchronise them between devices signed in to the same iCloud account. Apple states that, by default, only the user can access a private CloudKit database and its data is not visible in the developer portal.
Your use of iCloud is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy and iCloud terms. Sync availability and storage are managed through your Apple account and device settings.
04
Camera, photos and files
On iPhone, camera and photo-library access is requested only when you choose to photograph or select a receipt. Photo preparation, cropping, text recognition and currency inference from printed codes, currency names, country names and address clues happen on your device. Large selected photos may be resized on-device for reliable processing, and the resulting receipt image is saved with the record. File access is used only when you choose a file to import, such as a receipt PDF or client/project CSV.
You can manage camera and photo permissions at any time in your device settings.
05
Exchange-rate lookup
After the app identifies or you choose a foreign receipt currency, it requests a dated reference rate from the Frankfurter exchange-rate service. The request contains only the source currency code, reporting currency code and receipt date. Receipt images, recognised text, merchant names or addresses, client details and monetary amounts are not sent to the rate service.
Network providers and the exchange-rate service may process standard connection information needed to deliver and secure the request. See Frankfurter’s service information.
06
Reports, exports and email
When you create a report, the app prepares PDF and CSV files from the receipts in your chosen date range. It opens an email draft using your device’s mail service. Nothing is sent until you review the message and choose to send it.
Once sent, your email provider and the recipient handle the message and attachments under their own privacy practices. Be careful when choosing recipients because reports may contain financial or business information.
07
No tracking, advertising or analytics
The app does not include advertising networks, third-party analytics SDKs or cross-app tracking technologies. We do not collect app data into a developer-operated service, create advertising profiles, or sell or share your information for marketing.
08
Retention and your control
You can review, correct and delete receipts in the app. Report-history items moved to the Bin can be restored or deleted immediately; items left there are permanently removed after 30 days when the app next performs its retention check.
Deleting the app removes its local data from that device, but synchronised records may remain in iCloud. You can manage iCloud data and storage through Apple’s settings. Export anything you need before deleting records or iCloud data.
09
This website
This site does not use advertising pixels, analytics scripts, account sign-in or marketing cookies. Its hosting provider may process standard request information—such as IP address, browser information and timestamps—to deliver and secure the site. That processing is governed by Hostinger’s Privacy Policy.
10
Children
Receipt Manager is a business record-keeping app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
11
Changes and questions
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this address with a new effective date. For help with the app or questions about this policy, visit Receipt Manager Support.
